Person Centred Counselling
Person-centered therapy is guided by you, the clients. In each personal counselling session, we won’t come with a fixed agenda—unless you’re unsure of what to discuss, in which case we may offer suggestions. What matters most is what you want to explore. This time is dedicated to focusing on your priorities, allowing us to work through them together, while we provide our professional insights to support your journeys.
Integrative Counselling
Integrative counselling means that we draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches to best suit your individual needs. We believe it’s important not to assume we know you better than you know yourself—you are the expert on your own experience. Our role is to offer tools and techniques that may support you on your therapeutic journey. These could include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, and other helpful models.
Hypnotherapy
Our counsellor, Tanya, is trained in hypnotherapy. While she is not registered or insured to practise hypnotherapy in a formal capacity, she incorporates certain elements of the practice and its techniques into her sessions. While you won’t enter a hypnotic trance and the sessions won’t revolve around hypnotherapy, Tanya may use relaxation methods to help you prepare for challenges like interviews, flights, presentations, boosting self-esteem, and more.
Core Principles of Counselling
Our core principles in counselling are empathy, compassion, and congruence. Our role is to offer you a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and cared for. It’s crucial to make time for yourself and have a space to speak openly to someone who listens without judgment, in complete confidentiality. This is exactly what our sessions are designed to offer.weaknesses, set goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.

Counselling Sessions
Counselling sessions are for 50 minutes and will be weekly, for as long as you like. Sessions can take place remotely via Zoom whereby I will simply send you a link to access shortly before our session together commences. Please use the contact details below first to get in touch with me, so I can send you a referral form to complete before booking an appointment online, otherwise I cannot guarantee I will be able to work with you. I also have access to a room in Plymouth on Mondays and Wednesdays (details and map below), I ask that you contact me using the details below or e-mail me before arranging a face to face appointment.
